Drawing from influences including atmospheric black metal, post/progressive rock, doom, and folk, Hivernal use their repertoire to convey harsh and beautiful imagery found in nature. Lyrical themes contemplating the violence between Earth and Man are reflected in the tension and resolutions of musical passages, and attempt to reconcile one's place in the chaotic miasma of a collapsing biosphere.
